Redirects

The permission required to access this page is "Edit Club Website".

Website redirects allow you to redirect one page to another. This is useful if you move a page or transfer your website into SCM from another host.

To create one, click on the "Add Redirect" button.

The following options are available:

• Old Url - Enter the FULL URL you are redirecting from, e.g. http://www.your-website.co.uk/contact
  

• New Url - Enter the FULL URL you want to redirect to, e.g. http://www.your-website.co.uk/contact-us/
  

• Type - Select either "Permanent" or "Temporary"
  

Now, when someone lands on your website at a page that isn't there, the system will check if you have added a redirect for the page. If so, it will redirect the user to the new page.

When entering the "Old Url", always use http://xxx/ even if your site runs under https.

You can only add a redirect for a URL that does not exist
