Club Events
To create a club event, go to "Club > Events", then click the "Add Event" button. In the drop-down that appears, select "Club Event", and you will be taken to the Add Event form.
There are certain fields that need some explanation, as follows.
Event Type
You can choose from the following event types:
Open Meet - If you select this, the members you invite will be able to select which events they would like to swim.
Team Gala - If you select this, the members you invite will only be able to confirm their availability, and it's the coach's job to create the team.
Club Champs - If you select this, the members you invite will be able to select which events they would like to swim.
Turn up & Swim - If you select this, the members you invite will only be able to confirm their availability, and it's the coach's job to choose the swimmers on the night.
Licence Level
If you want any associated swim times that you add against this event to be "licenced times", select the level here.
Event Template
The event template is the list of actual events (races) for this event. Select one here, or go to "Setup > Club > Event templates" to create one first.
Volunteer Template
If this event will have volunteers, you can assign the volunteer roles by selecting a template here. To create a new volunteer template, go to "Setup > Club > Volunteer templates".
The other fields all have explanations of what they are for. Once you have completed the relevant fields, click the "Add Event" button.
